Rooted in 1950s rock and roll in the Southern states of the USA, Rockabilly is music genre and subculture distinguished by its blend of rhythm and blues and bluegrass music with rock and roll.

Rockabilly extends beyond the music to denote the fashions and styles of the era, including vintage cars, polkadot dresses and suspenders, diners and drive-in movies and, of course, swing dancing classics like the Boogie Woogie and Lindy hop.
